Responsible for the functioning, strategizing and realization of the legal tasks and objectives of this independent legal entity. This involves activities to support entrepreneurs, stimulate business on Bonaire and safeguard the interests of entrepreneurs. Primary tasks: managing the organization, coaching and developing the team, ensuring a healthy financial position, creating new revenue streams, enforcing adequate internal controls, successfully developing and leading various projects to support entrepreneurs, representing the Chamber in external relations, maintaining contacts with the Chambers of Commerce in the region, the local government and relevant Dutch Ministries, leading various change projects to professionalize the organization and ensuring periodic (financial) accountability to the Board. Also responsible for keeping track of all social developments so that where possible an active contribution can be made to the positive development of Bonaire in the broadest sense of the word. As secretary of the Business Register, I am also responsible for accurate processing of all registrations ensuring structural compliance with the relevant laws and regulations, doing legal analysis and compilation of proposals for legislative changes and implementation of a new online trade register system.
